Agar agar kering - A classic Malay favour

When I was younger ,I remembered that dried jelly or we Malay call it agar agar kering  as one of the stuff that my sibling  and I will rumage for during  Eid Fitri .

 But those that I ate when I was a kid really tasted like candy, lots of sugar. But as I grew up, the candies tasted less sugary and more jelly like. It tastes better this way, less sweet. I have tried many recipes and finally found one that tasted just right..less sweet ,chewy jelly and with a good crust ...

Makes a dazzling wedding favour...bringing back the good old days 

Just like macarons...these dried jelly will turn out better looking with  Mr Sunshine
